Volunteer With Interior Community Services
Make a Difference with Interior Community Services
At Interior Community Services (ICS), our volunteers help us in achieving our mission to enrich lives and strengthen communities throughout the Southern Interior of British Columbia. We deeply appreciate the dedication and passion of those who join us in making a difference!
Whether you’re interested in improving food security or engaging in meaningful community work, ICS offers various volunteer opportunities in Kamloops that allow you to contribute to a brighter future.
Volunteer Opportunities
ICS offers a range of volunteer opportunities in Kamloops and Merritt that directly impact the lives of individuals and families:
Mount Paul Community Food Centre Kamloops
Play a pivotal role in enhancing food security by volunteering at the Mount Paul Community Food Centre.
The Mount Paul Community Food Centre (CFC) is a welcoming place where people come together to grow, cook, share and advocate for good food for all. Community members can expand their food skills and increase access, literacy and education. Community members find their voices on the issues that matter to them, and people find friends and support.
CFCs offer multifaceted, integrated, responsive and prevention-focused programming in a shared space where food builds health, hope, skills and community.
Meals on Wheels Kamloops
Join our Meals on Wheels program in Kamloops and deliver hot, nutritious meals to seniors and individuals with limited mobility. This service not only provides essential food assistance in Kamloops but also offers companionship and a friendly face to those who may be isolated.
Better at Home
Volunteering with the Better at Home program at Interior Community Services offers a unique opportunity to support seniors in living independently within their own homes.
By assisting with tasks like grocery shopping, transportation, and light housekeeping, volunteers make a meaningful impact on the quality of life for seniors in their community. Your time and dedication can help foster connections and provide valuable assistance to those who need it most.
This program is available in Kamloops, Nicola Valley, Ashcroft, and Cache Creek.
