Family Preservation Program

The Family Preservation is an outreach service that provides short-term intervention, and intensive support to to families experiencing significant challenges, and who are at risk of family or placement breakdown.

The Family Preservation program provides:

  • Family assessment, goal setting, intervention, and transition planning
  • Short-term (6-8 weeks); intensive (6-10 hours/week); outcome-focused service
  • Support to families to discover ways of finding their own solutions, make positive choices and decisions about their situations, and to utilize community resources

Who Is Eligible?

Any individual/family referred to the program is eligible.

How to Refer

Families can be referred by a Social Worker through Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) or Scw’exmx Child & Family Services Society.
